Faith Development in Primary School Children
This study aims manifesting the factors which are efffective in the development of primary school children’s fatih development and pronouncing the power of these factors in general. The sample group of the study consists of 5 primary school students chosen conveniently. Faith Development Theory was betaken as the main pirinciple of this qualitative research oriented study, and case study strategy was used. Interview method, which was structured by Fowler, was chosen as the method of the study. Consequently, the following conclusions were acquired; the sample group consisting of 5 primary school students were on the second stage in terms of Fowler’s Faith Development Theory; faith development of this age group were affected by family in particular and by some other factors such as school, peer group, religious traditions, television and computer. Furthermore, ethnographic observations were recorded in order to prove the validity of aforementioned factors in daily life. Because of the fact that school and family has a great influence on this age group’s way of daily activities through the second stage.
